Colorado Came to a close...

As skiing was entertaining, and the day after was even more fun! Molly and I got to hang out around the cabin and just talk. We took naps, I read my book and did some list checking off. She was walking around and took pain meds and sleept some more. It was delightful. I then made spaghetti that night for everyone- which did not turn out as planed but everyone still pretended to like it and ate it anyway. It's hard cooking for 10 especially when you have to cook the noodles in a popcorn popper! haha. Anyway, Thursday was the day we hiked around town and climbed things:

This hike was amazingly fun times! We also went to BRUNO'S in which it was not pizza... but I did have chicken parmesan. It was the highlight of the week. We all got dressed up and enjoyed a night on the town- ironically about 1 mile from where our cabin was... Here are pictures from the evening:

The Skiers:

So even though I spent about 15 mins on skis the whole time I was in Colorado... doesn't mean the other peeps didn't get to have fun. Here is the gang on their skis!

This is where the photos got fun! Dusty had some fun snowboarding right towards me... in which here are the pictures!

The Day of Tragedy...

Like any day of a trip, someone has to get hurt. This is one trip that I was not that person. But as for Molly and Amanda- they cannot say the same. We went to Ski Hill- supposed to be a nice non-crowded place to ski, something to do to get warmed up before the BIG ski day... Hmm. Well, this day took a turn of events.

First off if anyone needed to use the bathroom, there is an outhouse in which the alcoholic told us about *pictured on left.

Next was the horrendous ski lift which lead to the turn on events. I mean does this look safe to you!?? I don't think so! Plus that is Chase going up the lift... he looks like an ant- but that's him!! This is right before Molly decided to take a turn of knee tragedy!

OH! And Just so I have proof that I was there with ski's on is this picture- Not that My head is in this picture... but my foot is!

More of the Beautiful state of Colorado...

Leaving you off from the last post... we did wonder around town on Sunday BUT we also went hiking straight up the mountain.
Let me show you what I mean:

This is Molly's hike with both legs... You'll understand later.
This is the sight of the town from the mountain tree branch I was holding onto with my freezing cold hands. From this point, Molly and I decided we didn't want to die and so the thought process of "HOW DO WE GET DOWN??" when through our minds. So we then decided to slide down the mountain. Like this:

This was our trail...

And like this.
We had such a good time. We laughed so hard that we started to cry. Then we went back and had lunch and went shopping for milk in town.

It was an amazing first day. I almost forgot about our memorable marry-go-round ride!

Molly:

Michelle and Curtis:

We had such an incredible day! This picture is for my family:

So instead of buying a Blue Spruce... We can just RENT ONE! :) They are lighter.

Colorado Trip:

We= Molly, Amanda, Bonnie, Michelle, Lee, Curtis, Seth, Chase, Dusty, and ME traveled the 18 hours from Tyler, Tx to Lake City Colorado. Leaving Friday morning at 3 a.m., we arrived at our destination at the hour of 8 p.m. in mountain time. Arriving at our humble cabin that sleeps as many as we can cram into all inches of the house... 12 we got so far!

This is our awesome lights in the living room!

This is the group eating tacos! We eat as a family!

And this is the snow we got the first day... HOW BEAutiful!

After we settled in Saturday night, Sunday we went into town and went sight seeing:

We followed the arrow... and then noticed that the fire danger was low thanks to this sign:

We saw these historic buildings that are so pretty:
Lee decided to read every single one of the historic signs that tells the history of the building.

This one is for sale!! :)

Long time no blog...

I never understood why people who get old say they don't have time to blog or read or write or do arithmetic... But I totally understand now. BUT in the past week I have read three books, started a fourth, wrote a blog (or writing one)- now on vacation to Colorado to hang out with 9 amazing people! What could be better than this??

The books I have read:

^ This book is WAYYYYY better than the movie so I suggest EVERYONE read it!!

Then the other one that everyone has to read is:
